Summer deferments are now closed. To those who have submitted deferments, thank you. Please keep in mind that if you are on a monthly payment plan the payments will continue until the end of your current agreement and then you will get free weeks of training for however long you deferred.
Please remember that we change to the summer schedule on Monday, June 29th.

Summer Deferment is a way to freeze your Taekwon-do membership if you are away or unable to take Taekwon-do classes during the summer months, but you have to complete a deferment form by MONDAY to take advantage of this offer.
it was a big day on Saturday with 10 students testing for Black Belt promotions. We also were honored to have Grandmaster Kim visit us as well as having Master Paul D'Ambrosio visit all the way from Aliso Hills Taekwon-do in California.

The Glen Ridge Taekwon-do Potluck Picnic is on Saturday, June 20th. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in the school so you can sign up to bring your favorite dish! Friends and family are welcome to come.
The Summer Deferment deadline is Monday, June 22. If you wish to have your membership frozen for time during the summer you must let us know by that date. Fill in the form online or use one of the paper forms which are available at the front desk.
The first Mighty Lions camp starts in a week and there are still a few spots available. If you are interested in signing up your child there is more information available here or stop at the front desk for information and an application form. Mighty Lions camps are June 22-26 and July 20-24. Students are not required to attend both weeks, and the camp is open to current students as well as to people who have not studied Taekwon-do.
The Taekwon-do International Boot Camp will be held in Virginia from August 7 through 9. Registration is online and they are taking applications from Adults and Juniors. This weekend camp is a great way to experience an immersion into learning Taekwon-do; it's a chance to meet other Taekwon-do practitioners from other schools, and to have fun learning. Ask us about ride sharing and payment plans.

Congratulations to our competitors who went to the Metro Open Taekwondo Championship in Metuchen, hosted by Master Elshikh of International Martial Arts. The new venue was spacious and airy and a great place to spend the day.
Do you want to compete too? We'd love to have you! There will be more competitions in the fall that will be open to all students, including Mighty Lions who know a pattern. For Juniors and Adults who are Green Belt and up we will have special competition training, open to competitors and to those who are just curious or who are interested in additional training. Check your email, this website or our Facebook page for information as the time comes closer.
Master Meany has released the test list for Saturday, June 13, 2015. Please check your email to see if you or your child is on the list to test. On test days we will have the full, regular schedule classes.

Glen Ridge Taekwon-do is open all summer long in air conditioned comfort and we hope we will see everyone training as much as possible but if you are planning to be away or if you know you will be unable to come to classes you may be interested in the Summer Deferment Program. This program allows students to put their Taekwon-do membership on hold for part of the summer.
You can submit your registration online or pick up a form at the front desk. Remember, in order to take advantage of the Summer Deferment program your forms must be completed by June 22.
Please keep in mind we will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observation of Memorial Day. We will be open on the Saturday with the normal schedule of classes.

- Summer camp enrollments are coming in. If you are interested in enrolling your child please complete your paperwork and make a deposit to ensure your child has a spot because the camps do fill up.
